Commemorating the Centenary of NU, 400 Perak MWCNU Cadres Walk to Tebuireng

Tebuireng.online- The Management of the Representative Council of the Nahdlatul Ulama Branch (MWCNU) Perak, Jombang, held a walking action entitled “Mlampah Sareng Sowan Hadratussyaikh KH Muhammad Hasyim Asy’ari”, Monday (02/02/2026). This activity was carried out to commemorate the centenary of Nahdlatul Ulama based on the Gregorian calendar.

This agenda was attended by around 400 participants consisting of MWCNU Perak administrators, branch administrators, and NU autonomous bodies (Banom) throughout Perak District. Also attending the activity was the Chair of PCNU Jombang, KH Fahmi Amrullah, along with other branch administrators.

Chairman of Tanfidziyah MWCNU Perak, KH Nur Raihan, explained that this walking action covered a distance of approximately 12 kilometers, starting from the Perak area to the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School. According to him, this activity is a symbol of the struggle to emulate the people founder (hanging) NO.

“In order to celebrate the first century of the Nahdlatul Ulama calendar, we went to Hadratussyaikh on foot. pray for blessings from Hadratussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy’ari,” said Kiai Nur Raihan.

The series of events in Tebuireng began with a procession of handing over the waqf pledge from MWCNU Perak to dzurriyah (descendants of) Hadratussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy’ari. The waqf was handed over symbolically and received directly by KH Fahmi Amrullah as Chair of PCNU Jombang.

It is hoped that these waqf assets can be managed optimally for the benefit and continuity of the activities of Nahdliyin residents in the future. After the handover procession, the event continued with reading the tahlil and praying together at the Tebuireng community grave complex.

Closing the series of activities, KH Nur Raihan hopes that the momentum of this century will be a turning point for internal and external strengthening for all administrators in serving Nahdlatul Ulama.

“Hopefully we will be given smoothness in all matters, the strength to follow in the footsteps of the ulama, and most importantly, be recognized as students of Hadratussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy’ari,” he concluded.

This activity took place solemnly and orderly, reflecting the militant spirit of NU cadres at the sub-district level in maintaining spiritual and organizational traditions.
